From scan to booked
Here's exactly what happens when you use goCubify — from the moment you download the app to the day your carrier arrives.
How the moving industry actually works
You fill out a form thinking you're getting a quote.
You're actually being sold.
Most “get a quote” buttons on moving websites aren't connected to a moving company at all. They're lead generation forms. The moment you hit submit, your name, phone number, and email address are sold to as many as eight different moving companies simultaneously.
What follows is days — sometimes weeks — of unsolicited calls, texts, and emails from companies you've never heard of, all quoting prices they made up without ever seeing your home. The quotes are low on purpose. The real number surfaces on move day, when your belongings are already on the truck.
goCubify doesn't sell your information. We don't have a sales team. We don't call you. We give you the quote and let you decide — on your terms, on your timeline.
Here's how we do it instead
Download the app and create a free account. Enter your origin address, destination address, home size, and move date. That's it — no card required at this point.
Google Maps calculates your exact mileage in real time. Your distance is locked into the pricing formula before you scan a single room.
Why your addresses matter: Distance is the second biggest factor in your moving cost after volume. We lock it in upfront so the price you see reflects your actual route — not a generic zone estimate.
Walk through each room and take photos or short videos with your phone camera. Google AI analyzes every image and identifies each item — furniture, appliances, boxes, artwork, and more — in seconds.
No manual entry. No lists to fill out. Just point and scan. A typical 3-bedroom home takes under 30 minutes.
Your scan photos are kept private. Images are processed by Google AI to generate your inventory, then stored securely. They are automatically deleted 90 days after your delivery is confirmed. We don't share your home photos with anyone except your assigned carrier — and only as move documentation.
Your AI-generated inventory is organized by room. For each item, you choose: Moving or Leaving Behind. Every toggle instantly recalculates your total cubic footage and your quote.
This is where Smart Leave comes in. For items that aren't worth moving, our AI compares your cost to ship versus buying new — and tells you exactly how much you'd save by leaving it.
Smart Leave is honest. We only suggest leaving something behind if it genuinely saves you money. We run the math and show you both numbers — you decide. And if you do leave it, we can link you directly to a replacement on Amazon so it's waiting at your new home.
Once your inventory is confirmed, goCubify calculates your binding moving estimate. Every line item is shown — nothing hidden, nothing bundled in a way that obscures the real cost.
Your quote is binding. That means the price won't change as long as your inventory and services stay the same. No bait-and-switch on move day.
Example only. Your actual quote depends on your cubic footage, distance, and move date.
Like your price? Tap to book. Your deposit is calculated from your move details and shown clearly before you confirm — it's applied toward your total move cost. Stripe handles the payment. Your card info never touches goCubify's servers.
The whole booking process — from tapping "Book" to receiving your confirmation — takes under a minute.
Cancellation policy: Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 14 business days before your pickup date. See our Terms of Service for full details.
Once your deposit is confirmed, goCubify takes over the coordination. Here's exactly what happens next:
About the remaining balance: Your deposit is paid to goCubify via Stripe. The remaining balance is paid directly to your carrier at pickup and/or delivery per the Bill of Lading. Accepted methods vary by carrier — typically Zelle, money order, or bank wire. Personal checks are not accepted.
