Step 1: Scan your home with Google AI

You open the app, select a room, and point your phone camera at it. Google AI analyzes the video or photos and identifies every item in the room — furniture, appliances, boxes, electronics, and anything else visible. It estimates the cubic footage of each item automatically.

This is not a form where you type “1 sofa, 1 coffee table.” The AI sees what you have and builds the inventory for you. A typical room takes under 60 seconds to scan.

Step 2: Review your inventory and decide what moves

After scanning, you get a full itemized list for every room. You check what is coming and uncheck what stays behind. Your quote updates instantly with every change.

This is where the Smart Leave feature comes in. For any item you mark as leaving behind, goCubify compares your cost to ship it against the cost to buy a comparable replacement on Amazon. If replacement is cheaper, it shows you the exact savings and links directly to a replacement — delivered to your new home. A couch that costs $400 to ship but $280 to replace on Amazon? Step 3: Answer a short survey

Ten questions covering things that affect the job: packing preferences, elevator access, parking at origin and destination, specialty items, auto transport needs, and preferred move date. Each answer refines your quote in real time.

Step 4: Get your binding quote

Based on your scanned inventory, survey answers, and the exact mileage between your addresses (via Google Maps), goCubify generates a binding estimate. Not a range — a real number with a full line-item breakdown: labor, truck and fuel, packing if applicable, and insurance. Everything visible before you commit to anything.

Step 5: Pay your deposit and book

If the price works, you pay a 30% deposit via Stripe directly in the app. That deposit is applied to your total — the remainder is due on move day. You can cancel up to 48 hours before your move without penalty.

From that point, goCubify assigns a vetted, FMCSA-verified carrier to your job. The carrier receives your full inventory, photos, distance, and move date automatically. No phone calls. No back-and-forth.

What happens on move day

The app tracks your move from pickup to delivery. You can follow the truck in real time if you opted for a GPS tracker at checkout, sign the digital bill of lading in-app, and leave a rating and optional short video testimonial for the crew after delivery.
